Lot #925-1941 Cadillac Series 62 Sedanette 5-Passenger Coupe (VIN5346504)- Bought new in Washington, DC at Capital Cadillac. Model 41-6127. Now resides in sunny southern California. Showing 63K miles and that is believed to be actual but selling EXEMPT because of age. Has the original 150HP 346 ci V-8 engine with manual transmission, and 3:77 rear end according to the seller. Pretty Tuxedo Black with Vincinnes Red wheels, and new Diamond Back wide whitewall radial tires. It has the original AM radio that works, and an electric fuel pump plus 2 parallel Optima batteries for easy starting. Seller has added safety belts in the front seat for safety. It also sports fender skirts with the famous Cadallic emblem. Recent mechanicals include new brake shoes and wheel cylinders as well as replacing the motor and transmission mounts. Seller also upgraded to Electronic Pertronix ignition. An original shop manual and a repro driving manual is included. Seller maintains that the big Caddy handles interstate speeds easily and with Cadillac grace.
Historically, the 61-Series 1941 Cadillac weighs in at a whopping 4,000 LBS and the 150HP V-8 reportedly pushed it down the road at a top speed of 100MPH! Of the some 66,000 Caddy’s produced in ’41, the 62 series accounted for some 24,734 according to internet reports.
